3D to 2D — Internal and External Conflict

3D-to-2D.png

For our final project, we were to take use images of previous projects we made during the semester and manipulate it into a 2D image. For this final, I decided to merge my map relief and masked identity images together. Both the map relief and masked identity conveyed similar meanings, so I decided that putting them together would help emphasize or add to that meaning. I took pieces of my map relief and made a pattern of it to create the background. Then I took one of the images from the masked identity project and overlayed it on top. The purpose was for the final image to look chaotic and overwhelming, as both sides of the conscience clash together in a battle for power. I like how the black begins to swirl around the figure, almost like it is about to engulf them.
